June: This lovely pink orchid is common throughout the conifer regions of the province. Moccasin Flower (Cypripedium acaule) is also known as Pink Lady’s-slipper and is the provincial floral emblem of Prince Edward Island. Each plant produces but a single flower above a pair of quilted leaves.
