Beach Tours and Daily Activities- June 23 - August 31 2008
 

Beach Tours:
• Sunday, Tuesday & Thursday - East Bay & Partridge Island 
• Monday & Wednesday - Wasson’s Bluff 
• Friday - Curatorial Tour ( Locations vary)
• Cost - $10.00 for Adults $5.00 for children over 4 yrs. 

• Saturday - ‘Parks are for People’ Curatorial walk (Locations vary)
• Cost - No Charge
• Please look online or call for tour times. Tour times are subject to change according to the daily tide’s schedule.
• Your own transportation is required to attend all tours. 
• Minimum group of 5 for a beach tour (If 15 minutes before a tour leaves, there are no other participants, a smaller group may pay a minimum fee of $40.00 ).

 *Note - Friday Aug. 15th (to Joggins) & Sunday Aug. 17th (TBA) tours are part of the N.S. Gem and Mineral Show, admission to show: $3.00 per adult.
 
 
 

Special Activities: 
• July/August Friday’s - Meet the Mayor of Parrsboro and see what tasty treats are for sale at the FGM. 11:00 am - 1:00pm

• July 13th - DINO Daze! 10:00am - 4:00pm & ‘Owen and the Dinosaur’ book signing 12:00pm - 2:00pm
• DINO Daze cost: regular museum admission. DINO Daze lunch: $3.00 (T-Rex Toes & Swampwater!)
 
 

Daily Activities:
• Sunday - If you are attending the Ship’s Company Theater Matinee, your children may take part in our museum matinee from 1:30pm-4:00pm. This $10.00 program includes: a variety of activities, including a puppet show, crafts and snack. From July 4th - 29th to honour the new play, “The Bump”, based on the Springhill mining disaster, activities will include a ‘mining mystery’!

• Summer staff at the museum: work in the fossil preparation lab, give beach & gallery tours, run daily children’s activities, as well as host children’s bus tours! For a couple hours each day, summer staff may all be conducting a beach tour, but if you return later, our ceramic dinosaurs are ready to be painted, and other activities are waiting for you!
• Cost - varies from $2.00 - $10.00

*Note - Excluding the Sunday Matinee, children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult for all activities. With paid admission, or a school coupon, you are welcome to explore the museum while your child is busy! For some programs, the leader may choose to take the group into the museum to view a specific exhibit.

Programs do not include admission to the museum.
